Mr Squeezy adds the squeezy gel, pop, dipper, splash and bubbles formats.
Beside it sit the soft-drink flavours a child already knows from the fridge. Tango brings the Shockers chews (price-marked 10p and 20p), the Chewbies stick packs in blue raspberry, apple, orange and cherry, the Belters, the bon bons, the King Assorted Sprays, the Roller Licker, the Splitz Fizz spray-and-sherbet and the popping candy. Vimto brings the Double Spray, the Seriously Big Spray, the Roller Licker, candy floss and mini cakes. The character lines carry the licences an importer is asked for by name: Barbie, Paw Patrol, Hello Kitty, Peppa Pig, Minions, Stitch and Harry Potter, as snacking eggs, chocolate surprise eggs, mallow pops, jelly-bean tubes, stampers and eating paper. And for the summer the range runs into freeze pops: Slush Puppie, Tango, Swizzels Squashies, Chupa Chups, Robinsons Fruit Shoot and Vimto squeezee and 2-in-1 pops, filled liquid sold ambient and frozen at the store.
Novelty candy is light and bulky rather than heavy, so it cubes out before it weighs out, and it is the line that fills the air in a container built around drinks and tinned goods. Most lines ship in a counter display box inside a shipper case, and the case configuration — units per case, cases per layer, the barcode — is published on every line, so the load can be planned before a price is agreed. Shelf life runs from a few months on the cakes and filled chocolate to two and three years on the hard candy, and it is stated line by line. These lines are ordered by the case, and most cases are a set of counter display boxes, so a mixed pallet across the sprays, the novelty candy and the character lines is the usual way to start a fixture. Units per case and cases per layer are published on every line. A few freeze-pop multipacks are sold by the full pallet only, and say so on the line.
No. The squeezee and 2-in-1 pops are filled liquid that travels ambient in a standard dry container and is frozen in the store or at home. The rest of the range is ambient confectionery with no cold chain.
It depends on the line and it is stated on each one: from a few months on the cakes, mallow treats and filled chocolate to two and three years on the hard candy and the Candy Castle Crew novelty lines. Best-before dates on a shipment are confirmed when the order is allocated.
